Sell Your Guns

We buy entire estates or one gun at a time. We would like to offer you two options when it comes time to sell your firearms: buyout or consignment. Either way, we will work with you to determine the best way to market your firearms, the correct price to ask and what will work out in both of our interests.

No appointment is necessary, but we must limit transactions to ten (10) firearms per day. MAKE SURE YOUR FIREARM IS UNLOADED AND IN A CASE BEFORE ENTERING OUR STORE. You must bring valid California Drivers License (CADL) or Identification (CAID), provide your phone number, state of birth and a right thumbprint.

If you need payment immediately, a buyout may be the best option for you.  We will only purchase firearms that we can sell to the general public: no Off-Roster Handguns.  Proceeds can be paid in cash immediately, store credit or a check.

If you have more time to close your sale, or have an off-roster handgun, a consignment sale may be a better option.  Off-Roster handguns can only be sold via consignment or Private Party Transaction (PPT) in California.  There are many terms and conditions to a consignment sale

  1. Items with a sale price under $300 will be assessed a $75 flat fee.
  2. A 30-day pawnbroker hold must be completed before any used firearm can be disposed of to a new owner.
  3. Commission rate is 25%, non-negotiable.  There is considerably more paperwork for a consignment than a dealer sale.  Your high-value firearms require additional effort to sell.
  4. If you change your mind for any reason at any time, The Seller must submit to a Dealers Record of Sale (DROS) background check, pay the $37.19 fee to The State, pay 25% commission of the current asking price, and wait 10-days but no more than 30, to pickup your firearm.
  5. Pricing.  We will assist you in determining the fair market value of your firearm using multiple methods: Blue Book of Gun Values, completed online auctions of same or similar firearms, recent in-store experience.
  6. Automatic price reductions: Occasionally an assessed price requires adjustment.  You must agree that the asking price of a firearm may be reduced at our discretion, up to 5% monthly.
  7. Severability/Term: We agree to display your firearm for a period no less than 180 days, but no more than 1 year.
  8. Notifications will be made by phone.  Please ensure we have your current telephone number on file.
  9. Storage:  In the event your firearm is taken off consignment for any reason, but remains in our storage for a period greater than 30 days, a storage fee will be assessed at a rate of $1 per day per firearm.  This amount must be paid before you can retrieve your firearm.
  10. Be prepared to return to the store to collect your payment; we require you to sign that the transaction is complete.  Please feel free to check the status of your firearm AFTER 45 days have elapsed.  A fee of $5 will be added to the account of people who inquire before the pawnbroker hold is complete.
